Given that I don't have anything like GC's level of readers and not all of my blogs cover exciting events in the golfing world nevertheless I've chosen the pick of my blogs in recent months.
Tiger Yips or Chip-N-Dips?
"Chunks Duffs and Dips. Does Tiger have the Chipping Yips?"
Forget about visits to doctors and playing a practice round at Valhalla this is a biggie should Tiger really have the yips.
Dwindling Numbers - Don't You Believe It
"How A Declining Middle Class Is Killing Golf" That's from Bob Cook at Forbes Magazine and typical of western world thinking."
My point which the statistics have proved is that it's a problem in the western-world and not the East or Far East
The Donald Didn't Like It
"I'd bet the horrible look of Pinehurst translates into poor television ratings. This is not what golf is about!" Coleman McDowell covers Donald Trump's tweeting about Pinehurst No 2.
As a Scotsman, playing Turnberry Ailsa is at the top of my bucket list and in a big way. Therefore I'm hoping the Donald doesn't get his way in the re-design of some holes before I make it there.
May the golf gods forbid him to make any changes because the holes don't suit television camera coverage
Bigger Hole A Bad Idea
"The proponents of 15in golf holes are the American equivalent of those sensitive English roses who want to ban competitive sports in schools because losing is so beastly for little Emma."
I'll say no more as to why bigger holes are a bad idea. Unless of course you're the Donald and determined to get more bums on golf cart seats with faster rounds of golf.
D-Day For The R&A
"On Sept. 18 -- the same day on which Scotland holds its referendum on independence from the United Kingdom -- the 2,400-strong membership of the game's ruling body outside the United States and Mexico will be given the opportunity to vote on whether or not to admit women."
The decision to admit lady members had to be THE big news in recent months. As to why it didn't attract a large number of readers from the other side of the pond at the Golf Channel, I'll never know.
Yes I do! They're more interested in gossip, "Wozniacki takes subtle shot at Rory's height"

Quote of the Day
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
- Irish blessing
